  • all Scrum Team members share ownership for the product increment

The Product Owner

  • interfaces with stakeholders and writes user stories
  • decides what goes into the product backlog
  • defines the order of the stories on the PB (important on top)
  • answers developers’ questions about the work to do in the Sprint

The Scrum Master

  • is as instructor, mentor, facilitator and impediment remover
  • teaches the Scrum rules to the team and the rest of the organisation
  • mentors team members to practice Scrum values
  • facilitates meetings to enforce Scrum rules
  • helps remove impediments to save team members time
  • must be a natural servant leader or a leader who serves

The Scrum Team

  • is composed by Product Owner + Scrum Master + Developers
  • self-organised: developers define who does what
  • multi-disciplinary: have all skills to complete the Sprint Goal
  • collaborative: who needs help? who can help me?
  • stable so the team is in the Tuckman’s performing stage
