Scrum Rituals

Scrum events are opportunities to exchange information during a Sprint

Scrum rituals, aka. meetings or events, are occasions to inspect the work, the product increment, for the Scrum Team to interact internally and with the users to show work and gather requirements

  • Iterations happen in Sprints that are time-boxed (limited in time) from 1 week to 1 month. All meetings exist inside the Sprint, that is a container

  • Sprint Planning (time-boxed to 8 hours) is an opportunity to jointly agree, developers and product owners, on the Sprint Goal

  • Daily Scrum (15 minutes) is for the Scrum Team only to quickly exchange what is under work and if help is needed

  • Sprint Review (up to 4 hours) receive Stakeholders feedback after the product increment is presented

  • Sprint Retrospective (up to 3 hours) is for the Scrum Team only to discuss how work happened and what could be done to improve it in the next sprint
